We know that music is universal it is part of every culture in even the smallest crevices of the world.  The Blues is the essence of  pain, joy, suffering, and innermost feelings of people like you and me.  The Blues is such a deep part of American culture because of people like Robert Johnson, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Slim Harpo, Memphis Minnie,  Jimmy Reed, Little Walter, Muddy Waters and so many others.  Especially those whose names never became famous, they were the roots of  The Blues. They were the true teachers to those who went out to perform and share with the world this part of our country's growth. This site is dedicated to all those people, and the people of today and tomorrow who are in touch with the heart of this music.  Whether you perform professionally or just love to float away in the depths of some of the great sounds of those who do perform, you are among those who appreciate the Blues and you have been given one of most beautiful gifts from God that you will ever receive. Eric Clapton once said... Love and music is all you need.

This shot was taken at The Blues Festival /  Chicago in 2009. It was previously posted on this site and removed at the request of the city media department. They thought it shed a poor vision of the hard working union city employee.

I was asked to remove the shot when I requested a media pass for the 2010 Blues Festival. They granted me the pass... in writing as a matter of fact... and then a few days prior to the festival I was informed by their office that my website did not suit their media criteria and they reneged on the pass. Some people will tell you anything so that they can get their way.

So.... Back goes the picture !

These shots below are various pictures from an assortment of shows we attended
